Begin with the hose end.
Record the thread standard on the hose or fitting you already have. Compare it with the selected sprinkler’s explicit connector specification. Nominal diameter does not prove thread compatibility. Do not assume an adapter is supplied, and do not force a fitting that binds.
Choose a physical pattern, not an advertised radius.
An oscillating bar, an impact head, a low rotary body and a sector stake are different constructions. Compare the whole object and the nozzle arrangement in each record. A long bar may suit a different placement than a tripod, but body length and height are not wetted-area measurements.
Read the five construction records.
- Narrow Strip Oscillating Sprinkler
- base 280 × 140 × 80 mm; 12 outlets; 3/4 in female garden-hose thread · oscillating tube; adjustable arc; confirm pressure and hose thread; no coverage guarantee
- Tripod Impact Sprinkler
- folded 520 × 110 × 110 mm; operating height 500–850 mm; 3/4 in female garden-hose thread · three telescopic legs; sector stop pins; mechanical impact arm; no pump included
- Low Profile Rotary Sprinkler
- 210 × 210 × 75 mm; three rotating arms; 3/4 in female garden-hose thread · ground-standing circular base; each arm has three nozzles; no universal connector claim
- Stake Sector Sprinkler
- overall 320 × 85 × 65 mm; stake 190 mm; 3/4 in female garden-hose thread · single pointed stake; adjustable sector head; hose not included
- Square Soaker Sprinkler
- 160 × 160 × 35 mm; 16 fixed perforations; 3/4 in female garden-hose thread · stationary low square body; no moving arms; compare water pressure before use
Test distribution where it will be used.
Flow, pressure, wind, placement and hose restrictions affect the actual water pattern. Watch edges, overlap and runoff under your own operating conditions. Reposition the hardware if the area is not evenly reached; do not infer a water-saving claim from the shape. This guide provides a comparison procedure, not a guaranteed radius or watering timetable.
Keep hardware and sowing decisions distinct.
Seed quantity is arithmetic using a stated mass rate. Water distribution is an observation at the site. Choosing a sprinkler does not establish a seed germination date or remove the need to read the actual seed lot instructions. Ask with the SKU, connector standard and location details when a product specification needs clarification.
